finally made sleep eyes for nyx!! :D
it was a very very stressful process. The back of her scalp has holes, scratches and i broke this thing in the hole at the back of her head, so she cant undo her sleepeyes anymore (hopefully its just that and not anything else which may hinder her!) :(

started by taking out the spring, and it immediately "boing-ed" back cos i didnt grab it properly. so spent the whole time trying to take it out but to no avail. then decided to open the head, but to no no no avail at all. so the back thing at the head broke and i could take out the spring >_<

anyway im really satisfied hahaha, after a frenzied day of posting questions on tib and waiting for replies, and trying to figure out what tutorials say about head opening (which failed miserably).

anyway i was very relieved yesterday after managing to put on a string to her spring and after that, gave her a good hair wash :D i sound like some old granny recounting how she spends her day.. and i also gave her new eyelashes so they are smoother than the previous ones. its the same pattern but its smootherrrr hahahaa.

ooh and i also sandmatted her finally. phew... wanted to paint her eyelids today but i realised i did not have any black paint. :/

i also thought of giving mel sleep eyes but i couldnt unhook her spring so i gave up, for fear that i will need to go through the whole tedious process again. X__X

Everyone knows Mel was born to be an absolute slut.

Cerise dares to bare. Them hem of her dress is lifted so you can see her Wii-tennis-toned thigh. Hot or hot?

All 4 of the Blythed girls were at Yinhui's house for a weekend pajama party, a very rare happening since Nyx always had trouble obtaining permission from her guardian Esther before coming to stay with Cerise and Yume. Anyway, they had a great time together, brushing each others' hair, exchanging styling tips and trying on each others' clothes, not to mention gossiping about their guardians and basically doing all sorts of things that dolls do when they get together.

Nyx seemed more effeminate when she returned to Esther's, while Cerise's current choices of outifts seemed to be influenced by current rock bands. Yume stayed pretty much the same-perfect, while Mel fell in love with Nicole Scherzinger's personal style, swearing to dress like her all the time. Woohoo! Seems like this sleepover was rather meaningful after all, since everyone learnt a little bit from each other and changed for the better!

Today is National Day!

For some freaking reason, the camera hates Yume and makes her lips look INVISIBLE. She looks washed out. *cries* As you can see, they're decked out in WHITE and RED to celebrate the nation's birthday because they're oh-so-patriotic~ But you know Nyx, she JUST has to be emo and wear black. And if you haven't realised already, Mel has undergone plastic surgery and Botoxed her lips. You like?

To commemorate the one year anniversary of Blythed(lol yeah it's like 07-07-07) and the date is long over but who cares, this one year old picture is posted again to remember Mel being patriotic last year. ^-^

Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008

Today we went for a Blythe meet with a few other people and together we attended the Singapore Toy & Comic Convention 2008. All in all, it wasn't too bad although we had trouble finding out who was who in the beginning, cause we were supposed to 'congregate' at the staircase leading to Raffles City just outside City Hall MRT. It was pretty weird at first, addressing people by their usernames(Hey, SurrealDream, where do you want to go for lunch?) but we gradually remembered their names. So off we went~a noisy, awkward, hyper bunch headed for Suntec. The queue was...majestic. It reached the end of the level-literally.

Blythe bouquet. We were getting bored while queuing for entry, so we just whipped out our cameras and Blythes and snapped away. The one on the extreme left belongs to Evolna, another TIB member.

The registration counter for the 25 lucky winners of Dollzinc's supremely fair and just competition. It's a very posh tea party of sorts. Esther and I tried to peep inside but one idiotic guy came to close the door when he saw us lingering outside. Damn! And we were planning to crash the party!

After we got bored of the convention we went to find the other Blythe people cause we lost them along the way. Turns out they were outside the Blythe Tea Party place and taking pictures of Blythes and the Domino Effect. A while later, the mean woman from Dollzinc showed up and someone complimented her blue-and-white-print cotton dress that looked like it came from Far East Plaza. Esther tried to suck up to her so we could get entry to the stupid tea party by saying: Hello Auntie! You have nice shoes. Wah, LV! I wanted to say I just bought a pair of shoes like that from Chinatown yesterday but didn't want to foil Esther's plans. As usual, the auntie ignored us like we were insects or frogs, whichever. Anyway, one of the people(geraldine_angel) who came for the meet knew the Auntie and they chatted for awhile while we went to eat.

We had a very late lunch at Swensens and the total bill was purse-blowing, but considering that there were about 9 of us, it wasn't that much of a surprise. The convention was very crowded but quite fun cause we met alot of celebrities and all! I even managed to get a picture of ___'s butt! :P And Esther took a picture with Jon Leong and I took a picture with tokidoki man, Simone Legno. He was quite nice and obliging in person! We wanted to take pictures with the people cosplaying as Star Wars but they kept daoing us so Esther and I pulled at their capes and wanted to smack their butts. Obviously we ran away after that little stunt.

All in all, we had a great day and we hope to go there next year!

nyx and customization

for the past week, we have been trying our hand at customising, from changing eyechips of mel and nyx, sandmatting mel, and changing the eyelashes and body of nyx. its really fun yet freaky, for it will be horrible if something went wrong. thankfully, nothing major was there, and yea, this is going to feature alot of nyx photos, cos shes with me hehehehehehe. she will be showing off her new eyechips, licca-ed body, and eyelashes. wooohooooo......

This picture was originally Esther's idea but taken with my camera. The pictured camera belongs to her and the doll, obviously, is Nyx. Nyx is trying to be a cabaret girl or slut or something like that. ^^ Right?

In an attempt to revive herself and break away from the stereotype of being labelled as a 'boho girl' or "nature lover", Mel tries a new style of dressing-scene style. Actually, I think she is just trying to get her owners' attention.

Yesterday, Nyx got the crimps in her hair straightened with the help of a heavy Braun iron and two apprehensive girls. We toyed with the idea of testing it on Mel first(I know, how mean) but decided to just go ahead and try it out. It took a few presses and adjustments to the heat setting, but finally the crimps were flattened! Say yay to rebonded hair, Nyx!(okay just being mean here) Next up was Cerise, who just had a few runs over her hair cause I like her curl at the end. And that, concludes the day.

mel's first holiday

this is mel's recent trip to sydney, australia, and boy is she excited :DD

"im so excited! i shall eat mini pretzels!"

"oh cool! they serve ben and jerry's in the plane!"

after a long flight, espescially for mel, we reached the hotel. mel settled down and unpacked some of her luggage.

then, she had an early night to ensure sufficient rest for tomorrow's road trip.

"im all set to go! new outfit, check! luggage, check! boots, check!"

despite being summer, it was very cold, explaining the clothing she was wearing. thank goodness we were sheltered from the rain as we drove to Port Stephens.

"cheese!"

"hmms, right, then left, straight, pass the cow farm, horse farm, sheep farm, goat farm, cow farm again, turn right, pass petrol kiosk, turn left..."

for the following days, we stayed in a caravan.

later on, we went to the blue mountains and it was cold there too. when mel saw the katoomba falls, she thought everything was falling! oh mel...

in the "london" bus we sat, mel wanted to show off that she could sit anywhere we cant.

"can you see the three sisters? im soooo excited!"

back in sydney, we went to Darling Habour.
wind. windy. wind. windy.

"omg im so enthralled. im on a jet cruise and there's sydney opera house next to me! *gushes*"

on a ferry, mel's owner started eating chocolates again and she snatched them away from her.
"idiot! you are so fat already. stop eating junk food! ~~give them to me!~~

esther got mad and ate the chocolate anyway, while mel looks out into the sea...

at manly beach, mel is very amused by the unpolluted air and beautiful blue skies.

the next day, we went to the seafood market and ate. a. lot. of. sea. food.

later on, we went to the Taronga zoo and saw birds which could fly really well, as well as some other animals. Mel was afraid of the tiger, espescially when it walked in front of her...

relax mel, its just an amusement park entrance-clown-person-not-person-ok-whatever-im-talking-about-it-doesnt-make-sense thing.

later on the journey home, mel got frightened again. apparently the guy outside the window tried to eat her, or so it appears to be O_O

went shopping and
"oh yea! im surrounded by my new friends and an expensive beyond anger disco ball"

"i changed my clothes and is all set for tomorrow's shopping trip! :D"

17 days passed in a flash and mel is all set to return to Singapore.

"im enjoying myself! the lounge is awesome!"

by luck, we got upgraded to first class/ raffles class (i forgot) on the A380 and the seats were the BIGGEST i have ever seen. it could fit 3 of my butts, no kidding.
ok i digressed.
anyway, everything was HUGE.

"these earphones are huge! it fits so nicely and they are so comfy!"

there was even this little footrest which was homey to mel :)

as she peered through the window, she saw many other airplanes.

mel thought she could sunbathe there!

as we prepared to take off, mel shared the big seat and seatbelt with me.

in the middle of the sky, mel decided to be cheeky and explore the compartments.

lastly, she was so enthralled by the wide tv there. she was so amused with her reflection and played with it, until her owner decided it was time for her to be back to her cubby hole while she watch her shows.

after days of chionging the secret santa presents (sorry if they arent up to your expectations..) we finally went to the post office!! :D

we took our own sweet time and by the time we reached there, it was already 5.30pm.
however, we could not decide which envelope to put which gift. dilemma!!! so while yinhui was trying and testing out the envelopes, some tourism postcards caught my eye and i decided to take a few of it and send them out to the other people of the world, inviting them to Sunny Singapore!

had a hard time thinking, and by this time, yinhui was also as distracted as me. I decided to post to the fellow blythers and Masi Oka (:DDD) while yinhui decided to write to Mr Po Lar Bear.

and some lights suddenly went off.

looked at the clock. 6PM! POST OFFICE CLOSING!

chiong and chiong. queued up, fit gifts into envelope, rushed, panicked...

after we paid and got the stamps and appropriate mailing stuff, we went to post the gifts! :D
boy was it so exciting and fun!! :D

today, we went to YH house for 4 main reasons.
1. Celebrate YH birthday (it's tmr!)
2. Open Yume
3. ~~read seventeen, teenage and teen~~ Give YH SHINKU!!!
4. Have Hazel's farewell party

So YH and Eudea took about 33 minutes to open Yume, and they were excitedly filming and recording the whole process. Yume is very very pale, in contrast with Melanie and Hazel. So they were all hyped up and excited.
(sorry, i dont have any Yume pictures. basically, they filmed the whole process so yea.)

Zhi Hui came and after lunch, we together took the present (thanks to the half of 2G1 who donated to the funds!!!) and gave it to YH. oh my, you should have seen her face, it was half priceless and she was about to cry. its 2 dolls in one day. *faints*

Anyway, when YH was filled with joy and everything, and opened the box for 20 over minutes still, ZH and i just took pictures of the other jealous dolls.

Yume: WTH?! it's suppose to be MY day. who's this extra here?!
Hazel: WTH?! i'm leaving and this doll is coming in?!

today, we went on a LONG journey to Excelsior hotel due to YH's really good sense of direction. i mean it. im saying all these with a straight face.

So we boarded a bus from Orchard RUSHING to excelsior hotel.

E: eh, what bus? where are we going to alight?
YH: *looks at bus info* erm... this one this one this one this one this one all can take
E: sure or not

hey guys, sorry for not updating for eons. we had simply too many tests and exams and since this year is streaming we must work doubly hard, thus mugging like nerds at home O_O
this means.. less time for outings and photo shoots of course. but rest assured, we will definitely bring mel out after the exams. and rumors says that mel is gonna have a little sister! we'll see by then.

ok i admit, i have not exactly been mugging cos today i went to vivo to see the stars from Heroes and No! i didnt get hiro nakamura's autograph but suresh's instead )): sads sads.... right, i digressed.

hello! yes, finally an update. doing yinhui a big favour. lucky she did upload most pictures onto photobucket first then now i blog on her behalf. but on a brighter note, there will be LOTS OF PICTURES!
